Vulnerability. Passion. Attitude. Eye contact. Humor. Confidence. Innocence.

These are just a few of the responses you may hear when you ask someone what they think is sexy. While the title may be intimidating to some, Phone Sex is a social experiment led by filmmaker Steve Balderson whose curiosity led him to inquire about one of life’s most intriguing questions. “What is sexy?” To some, humor, vulnerability and passion make the top of the list, but when you collect responses from some of the most creative, dynamic and off the wall people you know, you might as well expect the unexpected. While many people attribute sexiness to physical attractiveness, personality, and sexuality, when asked, most people are forthright and unreserved. Phone Sex is an amusing, candid and perverse treat that reassures you that there are stranger things in life than the neighbor that wears a spotlight to mow his yard at night. Phone Sex isn’t about visual stimulation; it’s about offering a real perspective from real people, varied by religion, creed, color or sexuality. From porn star Ron Jeremy to comedian Penn Jillette, famous “fag-hag” Margaret Cho to the infamous Jer Ber Jones, writer/bellydancer/journalist Pleasant Gehman to actress Edie McClurg, Phone Sex accomplishes bringing talk radio interest to the screen by fusing simple imagery with interesting content. A great conversation starter for your next wine party.
