Matthew Montgomery was born and raised in Southwest Texas. As an imaginative young boy, he started acting after his father explained that the little people he thought were living in his television set were actually actors. Ignoring the usual discouragement from family, peers and strangers, Matthew began his journey as an actor. After moving to Los Angeles, California at age 18 to study at the University of Southern California, he was nicknamed "the wonder freshman" for being cast in nearly every production to go up. It was later, after accepting a scholarship to Point Park Conservatory in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, that Matthew began exploring the medium of film. There, he accidentally stumbled upon a casting director that cast him in his first short film, "Reign of the Dead." He then had his feature film debut in "Gone, But Not Forgotten," which gained much recognition in the independent film circuit. Matthew currently resides in Hollywood, California.
