Lou Ann Thomas has gained a well-deserved national reputation as a writer and humorist. Her slice-of-life columns appear in Northern Life, a supplement of The Topeka Capital-Journal, and in The Wichita Eagle. Her commentaries can be heard on northeast Kansas' National Public Radio affiliate, KANU in Lawrence, and her feature stories appear in regional and national publications such as KANSAS! magazine and American Profile. She is also a member of the improvisational comedy troupe, Just for Fun.

Her work, whether in print, on the air, or in person, is fun and insightful, emphasizing the commonality of our humanity. It is in this sharing and highlighting of the places where we meet that Lou Ann reflects back to us the best in ourselves with humor, humility and awe.  
  
Lou Ann, a native Kansan and graduate of the University of Kansas, has received numerous state and national awards for her writing, radio commentaries and public speaking.
