ADAM BARNICK

Adam Barnick attended the School of Visual Arts for filmmaking, while assisting on independent productions as well as films of Woody Allen and Mike Nichols.

During the next two years he continued in various production tasks while producing advertising for and special effects assistance to La Commedia Del Sangue, New York's long-running Vampire Theatre. Video and stills he took during this period were incorporated into an exhibition at the Musei di Porta Romana in Milan, Italy.

Soon after he served in special effects and production capacities on a series of commercials for Ricola Cough Drops and Little Caesar's Pizza. Recent years also involved behind-the-scenes work on commercials for Japan.

Adam’s most recent short film, Mainstream was completed in April 2005; to date it has played six festivals and opened the New York City Horror Film Festival’s theatrical screenings.  Fangoria Magazine and Koch Vision have acquired it for worldwide distribution on their FANGORIA BLOOD DRIVE II DVD, now available everywhere.

He is in development on his newest short film, a surrealistic thriller entitled EVELYN STANDING that will be shot in Summer ‘06.  It will be followed by music videos with Lump N’ Loaf records.  He is in active development with his production company Wicked Tree Films, and their first feature film to commence production in the year to come.

As an editor, aside from his own projects he has edited independent film trailers and short films, sound designed Mainstream and director Troy Acree’s Suicide Angel, and will be contributing samples and audio design to Rob Galluzzo’s short film If I Die Before I Wake and director Dante Tomaselli’s fourth feature film The Ocean.  Several more projects will be announced soon.

He continues to develop his screenplays while contributing articles, reviews and interviews for the website Entertainment Insiders, Dread Central, and now Rumour Machine and Icons of Fright.  He has also consulted as a script reader/analyst for the IFP Market.

As a photographer Adam has had two successful exhibits and been exhibited on five websites.
